The Occupational Therapist will be based in the newly developed low secure mental health service working alongside a diverse multidisciplinary team. Candidates must demonstrate the necessary interest, capability, performance and enthusiasm in line with the requirements of this role.
Requirements:
- Have a recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist with CORU registration
- Have at least one year relevant post qualification experience for the Basic Grade Occupational Therapist in adult mental health services working alongside a multidisciplinary team
- Have at least three years relevant post qualification experience for the Basic Grade Occupational Therapist in adult mental health services working alongside a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in developing and running therapeutic services and programmes including occupation based and psycho-educational groups
- Experience working with individuals with complex mental health presentations
- Knowledge of the Judgement Support Framework and experience supporting compliance with same
- Knowledge of individual care planning and experience contributing to individual risk assessment
- Have a desire to support the ongoing development of the occupational therapy team with a willingness to engage in service development and quality improvement initiatives
- Have excellent communication and team-working skills
- Have excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a self-directed manner in a dynamic fast paced environment
