THE BACKGROUND:

At TTM Healthcare we are proud to have partnered with one of our clients a purpose built Victorian style Residential Care Home on 4 acres surrounded by a beautiful rural setting, situated on the edge of a picturesque village close to Wexford Town, with the capacity to take up to 90 + residents with single and shared ensuite accommodation.

This Nursing Home opened in early 2019 and has currently 60 residents with a further 10 residents coming on board shortly. They are now in a position to hire an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). Supporting the Director of Nursing this care home has a dedicated team of Clinical Nurse Managers, Staff nurses as well as healthcare assistants, who’s focus will be to enhance the lives of the elderly residents in their care. Your Clinical Responsibilities:
 
The appointee will undertake the role and responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing and be accountable to the Director of Nursing. The successful applicant will be required to provide and manage a professional care and nursing service while actively contributing to the development of the Nursing Home, its residents and staff.          
     
       
               
THE REQUIREMENTS:

Must have 3- 5  years relevant post registration nursing experience.             
Must possess management/supervisory experience, including team leadership with resource planning and allocation.              
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, relatives/visitors, employees, management and external bodies e.g. GPs, hospitals, HSE, HIQA, etc.              
Post-registration qualification in Gerontology or Dementia Care and / or a Post-registration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent will be an advantage. In the absence of such a qualification, the appointee will be required to undertake such training.                 
               
Your Educational Responsibilities:

Must be on the live register with NMBI.
Your Communication Responsibilities.
Must possess excellent communication and team lead skills and work well in a team environment.
Must have excellent knowledge and understanding of HIQA and standards pertained to Care of the Older Person.
Post-registration qualification in Gerontology or Dementia Care and / or a Post-registration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent will be an advantage.
