My TTM is
Understanding. Driven. Partnerships. Trust.
Tommy believes the ‘secret sauce’ of TTM Healthcare is simply that we understand what our clients need.
Tommy’s territory is the Irish Temporary Recruitment market, overseeing the following teams: Healthcare Assistants (HCA), Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHP), Social Care, Nursing, Support Services and Professional Services. He fulfils the recruitment needs of the HSE, with TTM Healthcare being on the national agency supply framework to supply temporary agency workers into the healthcare services, nationwide. He also supplies agency staff to many voluntary and privately-funded organisations.
Tommy completed Business Studies and Marketing at Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) in 2003, and knew he was destined for a career in sales. He spent two years in a multinational services company, before joining a global recruitment company for three years. In 2009 he joined TTM Healthcare – and his story is truly one of the power of potential: over the years Tommy worked his way up, progressing from Consultant to Senior Consultant and Team Leader, Team Manager and then Operations Manager to his current position. In addition, Tommy looks after TTM Training in Ireland.
One of Tommy's core beliefs is that you need to build trust with customers.
"In the healthcare industry, needs literally change hourly – and we are able to use our years of experience to really understand where the pressure points are and how to relieve them. Just as importantly – we totally get that 90% of our challenge is about team fit and personality. So our consultants work with our clients and candidates in a consultative way – partnering with them so that it works for everyone. Where many recruiters take a transactional approach, we deliver a consultative experience– and it makes a world of difference. We build trust with our customers, and we’ll never send a candidate into an environment we haven’t seen ourselves.”
Tommy’s other important role is Dad to his 2 ½ year-old daughter, spending as much time as he can with her. He’s a keen sportsman with a passion for Munster Rugby and Formula 1 and enjoys gym, basketball and taking part in triathlons.
