As part of the Social Care Division, Deirdre specialises in placing Social Care Workers in their ideal roles across Ireland. She recruits Permanent Social Care Workers, Persons in Charge (PICs) and Social Care Managers at all levels, working within strict HIQA requirements.

For Deirdre, her field of focus and the people she works with daily bring her immense job satisfaction and reward: Knowing that she is contributing to the development of social care in Ireland is important to her.

Deirdre has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interactive Multimedia, and previously worked as a Sales and Retentions Team Manager at a brand management consultancy. This role saw her sourcing talent for her own team, and she soon discovered her natural ability in recruitment, joining TTM in early 2022 – bringing her great strength as a team player combined with her independent and resilient nature.

“Unlike many professions, recruitment gives you a great deal of autonomy over your day-to-day workload. Once you have your targets in place, how you reach them is entirely up to you. I work well within a team, but I’m not afraid of making independent decisions.”

Deirdre rates “knowing your client and your candidate” as the most important aspect of her work. She believes the TTM Family Principles of ‘Trust & Respect’ and ‘Openness & Honesty’ drive this, and knows she is succeeding in her work when her candidates and clients no longer view her as simply a consultant but as a guiding support who wants the best for them.
