The Role
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) will report directly to the Operations Manager (PIC). The successful candidate will assist in maintaining and enhancing the professional services and provision of care to residents, managing all operational matters on their Unit (clinical and non) to improve resident outcomes.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in nursing
Previous experience and a proven track record of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting, caring for the older person
Qualified as a registered general nurse with The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
Evidence of continuous professional development
The ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, team members, management and external bodies e.g. HIQA, HSE, GPs etc
