THE OPPORTUNITY:
Care Assistant - Blanchardstown Dublin 15 - IMMEDIATE START

THE BACKGROUND:
At TTM Healthcare we are proud to have partnered with one of Ireland's largest providers of Health and Social Care services. We are looking to assemble a new relief panel for this service based in Blanchardstown in Dublin. There will be a minumum of 5 positions created on this panel.

This requirement involved working with a service user with physical and sensory disabilities in a community setting. The shifts will be 12hrs in duration, and will be a mix of days and nights. The vast majority of shifts will be for days.
Some responsibilities will include; personal care, accompanying on social outings, assisting with all activities of daily living.


THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job is for agency Care Assistants and candidates would need to be flexible and available for a range of shifts, throughout the week. Your role would involve working as part of a wider team of Care staff, to provide quality care to meet the needs of the service user while following the instruction of fellow staff and management.


Your Educational Responsibilities:
A minimum of a FETAC Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support/ Pre-nursing Studies. (All 8 Modules complete, 120 Credits).

Your Communication Responsibilities:
Fluent written and spoken English and excellent report writing skills.


THE REQUIREMENTS:
To be eligible for the role, Healthcare Assistants will need to:
• A minimum of a FETAC Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support/ Pre-nursing Studies. (All 8 Modules complete, 120 Credits).
• Must have eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Have a minimum of 3 months recent experience in a disability setting
• Have fluent written & spoken English.
• Full vaccination record.
• Must have (or be willing to complete) training as required.

THE MANDATORY TRAININGS:
• In order to commence work in this service, you must have or be willing to complete the following mandatory courses:
- Patient Moving & Handling
- Management of Actual and Potential Aggression
- Buccal Midazolam
- Fire Safety Awareness
- Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults
- Child Protection
