Our client provides quality services to adults with physical, sensory and neurological disabilities at a medium and high level of need
They provide individualised supports to promote wellbeing, independence and quality of life for all people who use our services. At present they provide services to over 200 people in their own homes, in residential centres, in supported accommodation and in respite facilities.

About the Residential Service
Our client provides care and support to 11 individuals and 1 Respite individual living in a residential service and you will be required to establish and maintain relationships with individuals with disabilities that are based on respect and equality and working in partnership with service users to promote their independence.

About the Role:
Our client is looking for a Service Manager for an award-winning residential Service.
The Service Manager will be committed to achieving the highest standards of excellence and the delivery of continuous improvement in standards, safety, quality, and service delivery in line with the organisational and regional team objectives. The Service Manager will also be required to take on the role of PIC/PPIM (Person in Charge/Person Participating in Management) for HIQA purposes.

What you will do:
Operating out of a social model of disability you will have responsibility for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of the care required to meet the physical, psychological and social needs of individuals with physical and neurotological disabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Effectively manages the service through the appropriate use of resources and in line with the organisational and regional team objectives, and objectives/KPIs for the service as set out by the Regional Manager.

Development, implementation, and management of the roster, informed by operational needs, service needs and knowledge of the social model of disability.

Hold regular team meetings and manages the performance of direct reports through regular 1:1 meeting to actively review performance against objectives. Provide honest feedback, coaching, mentoring and support the personal and professional development of the service team.

Manage the time, attendance, and absence of direct reports through the TMS system and ensures completion of fortnightly uploads to payroll.

Responsible for taking on the role of PIC/PPIM (Person in Charge/Person Participating in Management) in line with HIQA requirements. o Work closely with the Regional team to ensure that you remain up to date on all relevant regulatory standards.

Monitor all expenditure within the service, working closely with the Service Manager and Finance Department on all budgetary matters.

Requirements
• Register Nurse or Social Care Qualification
• A minimum of 3 years management experience within the disability, broad personal social services, or healthcare sector.
• Strategic leadership and people management skills and experience.
• Knowledge of current policy and developments in the disability sector.
• Knowledge of the HIQA Inspection process and completion and monitoring of Action Plans to acceptance by HIQA.
