DIRECTOR OF CARE (Residential Care Facility) CO. CORK - Excellent remuneration package offered !!
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Director of Nursing will be responsible for the clinical operations of the centre ensuring delivery of effective and person-focused care, leading teams to create a place where people can flourish.
This is an exciting career opportunity whereby the successful candidate will be supported and empowered by a supportive team both locally and across the broader Virtue Integrated Elder Care Group to lead, enhance, and shape the delivery of care at this 180+ Residential Care Facility.
You will have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, manage within approved resources, and offer strategic and operational leadership. You will work closely with key leaders and develop a strong and effective interface with HIQA, HSE, families and other key stakeholders.
Interested candidates should:
Have full registration with The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
Have a minimum six years post-registration experience, with at least three years experience of nursing older people within the previous 6 years
Have a minimum of three years' experience in a management capacity in the health and social care area
Demonstrate sound knowledge and clinical nursing practice together with future trends in elder care.
Hold a post registration management qualification in health or a related filed
A management qualification or Higher Diploma in Gerontology is desirable but not essential.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills
