TTM Healthcare Solutions are currently recruiting a Clinical Psychologist on behalf of one of Ireland's leading leading providers of acute and specialist mental health services in Ireland.

Our client is highly regarded for the provision of acute mental health treatment and care for adults and older persons with acute, serious and enduring mental health disorders and complex mental health issues associated with neuropsychiatric disorders and dementia.
The Clinical Psychologist's primary scope of responsibility will be to be part of a comprehensive multidisciplinary team, which works across Mental Health services within our clients system.
The role of the Clinical Psychologist is indispensable to the effective treatment of all patients and residents admitted to the clients Clinic Services (Acute Adult in-patient and Day Hospital), clients Hospital (Psychiatry of Later Life) and there Specialist Rehabilitation Unit.
The post holder reports to the Senior Clinical Psychologist on operational matters and in respect of clinical governance arrangements within the organisation. Clinical supervision will also be provided by the Senior Clinical Psychologist.

Requirements:
  • Candidates must possess a Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology accredited by Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI),or other professional Psychology body; and possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
  • Validation of qualifications with the Department of Health is also required.

Principal Duties:
  • Working with colleagues and Psychology Manager to ensure the delivery of a professional and evidence based psychology services appropriate to the post and in line with best practice.
  • Carry a priority caseload of adults referred to the hospitals various services.
  • Provide psychological assessments of adults based on the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of data from a range of sources (psychological interviews and tests, observations and family members)
  • Formulate and implement plans for psychological intervention or management based on appropriate and evidence based conceptual frameworks and therapeutic models
  • Deliver specialised psychological groups in various hospital settings.
  • Provide psychological reports as required in accordance with professional standards
  • Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of patients whose problems are managed using psychologically based care.
  • Contribute a psychological perspective to case planning and multi-agency case working where appropriate.
  • Participate in Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings Provide one outpatient service half day per week.
  • Keep up to date with organisational and national training requirements (e.g. Mental Health Commission training, Health and Safety etc )
  • Maintain appropriate patient and residents' records in accordance with Highfield Healthcare's requirements, Mental Health Commission and Data Protection Acts
