The focus is on forming a partnership with each individual and their family, enabling them to design their own service so that they can enjoy a real life in a real place with a healthy balance of supports.

Location: Dublin

Position on offer: CNM2

Remuneration: €51,422 - €60,792

Hours of Work: 78 hours per fortnight.


Essential
Have a recognised qualification in Nursing (RNID desirable) and be currently registered in an appropriate division of the Register of An Bord Altranais (N.M.B.I.)
At least 5 years experience of working with people with an intellectual disability
A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care
Hold an appropriate management qualification, no less than Fetac Level 6
Experience of working with individuals with high support needs
Have a clear understanding of HIQA guidelines and the policies that govern it
Full Clean Drivers Licence
Excellent IT, administration, report writing and organisational skills
Demonstrate initiative, good interpersonal and teamwork skills



Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the Care, Safety, Health and Welfare of the person supported by the services and staff to ensure the highest professional standard of care in line with the region policies and HIQA regulations.

Co-ordinate, plan and implement programmes for persons supported by the services in consultation with staff in each area.

Assist persons supported by the services according to identified needs, offering support at a practical, personal, social and emotional level and at a time which suits the persons supported by the services needs and circumstances.

Facilitate Personal Lifestyle planning for each individual in residential Services.

Promote and develop Advocacy within the services.

Be responsible for communication within the Services, holding regular staff meetings to discuss matters pertaining to local and general issues.

Be responsible for the management of staff and to offer them supportive supervision.
