TTM Healthcare are currently recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager I on behalf of their Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare based client for their older persons community home care service.
Salary: €45,000+
Reports to: Clinical Nurse Manager III
Flexible working hours

The role of Clinical Nurse Manager 1 is responsible for:

• The efficient and effective delivery of care activities within the service
• The Management of staff i.e., health care assistants/ RGN's
• Providing support and clinical advice to the practice supervisor
• Engaging directly with the customer/family member.
• The carrying out of quality improvement action plans and the maintenance of care records,
• The provision of mentorship and guidance within the care environment and to participate in care activities as part of the supervision process, if necessary.
• Escalating any clinical concerns as they occur to their CNM3

Qualifications:
• A Senior Registered Nurse/Clinical Nurse Manager 1 will have a nursing qualification and be registered and on the live register of NMBI.

Experience:
A minimum of two years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a relevant healthcare setting in the last two years.

• Ability to delegate tasks efficiently and appropriately
• Ability to teach, mentor and supervise.
• Good record keeping and report writing,
• Punctuality

Core Skills (Desirable)
• Computer literacy/administration,
• Experience of staff management,
• Risk Assessment knowledge,
• Have a good knowledge of Quality and Safety Systems and Audit
• Ability to recruit, interview, train and support staff.


Key Work Functions
(Please note this is not an exhaustive list).
The Clinical Nurse Manager 1 will:
• Carry out comprehensive assessments & review of clients and develop care plans in accordance with latest evidence based practice
• Deputize for other CNM's as appropriate,
• Line manages, supervise and support the care assistants/ registered nurses,
• Assign the appropriate care assistants/registered nurses to meet the client's needs,
• Liaise with the clients/ family members.
• Participate in staff training.
• Conduct assessments of customers and develop relevant, person centered care plans,
• Liaise with other care staff i.e., Care Co-coordinators, Clinical Nurse Managers,
• Liaise with health care professionals/ statutory personnel/HSE/ others throughout the community,
• Respond to care workers concerns appropriately and effectively,
• Provide support, guidance and advice to care workers as necessary,
• Comply with all GDPR regulations.
• Inform Clinical Nurse Managers 3 with regard to all operational matters,
• Monitor the quality and standard of care delivered in the care environment,
• Implement and comply with quality control systems to support the governance for quality and safety within the franchise,
• Monitor continued professional development for all staff.
• Responsible for their own continued professional development
• Ensure all policies, procedures and guidance are implemented effectively,
• Ensure all staff are fully compliant with safeguarding requirements,
• Comply with all Health & Safety Regulations /Fire Regulations.
• Will work within their Scope of Practice NMBI (2015)
• Will adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses and Midwives (2015)
