My TTM is
Goal-smashing. Supportive. Thriving. Rewarding.
A true Clare native, Shannon grew up in Ennis and has a background in healthcare. She holds a midwifery degree and worked as a Health Care Assistant and MTA with the HSE before making her successful move into recruitment and to TTM in 2022. Today, Shannon places Health Care Assistants, Support Workers, Social Care Workers, Social Care Managers and Persons in Charge in permanent roles throughout Ireland. As part of a team of four, Shannon finds roles for up to ten candidates a month.
So, why recruitment and TTM?
“Coming from a healthcare background I knew a lot about TTM and liked what I heard. I really love helping people and finding people their ideal jobs is another way of doing this. It’s all about putting smiles on people’s faces. With my healthcare experience I’ve found I can bring a great understanding and knowledge to the job: I know the roles, requirements and stresses of healthcare, and the kind of people that specific jobs attract.”
Shannon is known for her enthusiasm and her eagerness to do what it takes to help her clients and candidates. She enjoys building and developing relationships of trust and rapport from the ground up: it’s about keeping open lines of communication, being true to your word and remembering the details.
“What I really love about TTM is the level playing field the company offers. I was taken on board with no recruitment experience, and true to the TTM mantra of ‘Realising Potential’ the company is supporting and helping me to reach my goals. TTM believes everyone can thrive, regardless of experience - and it’s so refreshing to see an employer take this view. I love that there is always someone at my side to help me and point me in the right direction.”
Completing her midwifery degree is proof of Shannon’s perseverance - a spirit also reflected in her love of hiking. She’s proud to have completed solo hikes, says nothing comes close to reaching the top of a mountain at sunrise, and is currently setting her sights on climbing Carrauntoohil. Shannon has pushed herself to learn how to lift weights in a gym, is planning to take part in the Great Limerick Run 2023, and lives by the rule ‘if you want something, go get it.’
