Social Care Manager


Job Description

This superbly managed and high quality service provider cares for over 500 service users and employ 490 professional staff.
Due to exciting innovation and development they are currently looking to employ a qualified Manager for their Adult Day service which has up to 50 Service users and accompanying staff.
The service provides  a range of educational, training, employment, residential and support services.  The ethos of service provision is underpinned by its Vision, Core Values and Strategic Plan, which is to enable people with an intellectual disability realise their dreams and ambitions.
The successful candidate will require the following
  1. A relevant* third level qualification e.g. health, education/training or social care, teaching, social studies, nursing, social work or allied health professionals.
    1. A minimum of 5 years post graduate experience preferably in the area of intellectual disability.
    2. 3 years managerial experience in the area of rehabilitative training and/or training with knowledge of National accreditation and Framework of Qualifications
      1. Good interpersonal skills and problem solving skills together with an ability to advocate on behalf of service users/trainees
        1. Good leadership and motivational skills with the capacity to embrace change and innovation
          1. A full clean driving licence and use of one's own car.
          2. Be of good character
