Job Description

Our client  is a voluntary organisation providing 24 hour residential refuge accommodation and a range of support services to women and children who experience domestic abuse. The organisation is committed to promoting the rights of women and their children to live in a peaceful, non-violent home environment and to assist those experiencing domestic abuse to re-establish control of their lives.  
We are recruiting a Manager of Services to play a key role in the strategic development and delivery of a range of support services in a changing environment in accordance with the values and ethos of our charitable organisation.   
Core responsibilities of this post:
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to ensure the effective and efficient running of the organisation in an environment of change in line with best practice and in accordance with the strategic direction of the Board of Directors and the regulatory requirements of statutory funders and legislation relevant to sector.
  • Co-ordinate the development and evaluation of the delivery of services in order to ensure consistency, continuity and ongoing improvement of service delivery and outcomes for service users.
  • Oversee the professional development of all staff involved in service delivery and ensure that adequate support and supervision is provided in line with best practice.
  • Represent the best interests of the organisation at local, regional and national level and manage public relation activities and media enquiries.
  • Develop the annual financial plan and ensure that the organisation operates within the agreed annual budget, financial policies and procedures and the requirements of our statutory funders.
The successful candidate will possess:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in managing and developing the delivery of services within a not for profit organisation.
  • A collaborative leadership style with excellent communication skills and the capacity to motivate staff and drive an organisation to develop and deliver positive outcomes for service users.
  • Excellent strategic and change management skills as well as a working knowledge of governance and regulations relevant to the voluntary sector.
  • Third Level qualification in business or social care management or discipline relevant to the post
  • Knowledge of legislation and issues pertaining to domestic abuse and the service delivery requirements of relevant support services.
The salary for the post is aligned to the HSE Social Care Manager's scale, related to qualifications and experience. The annual leave entitlement is 26 days per annum.
