Project Worker
   
We have been retained on behalf of our client to recruit a Drug & Alcohol Project Worker to support a Community Based Drug & Alcohol treatment support service for individuals over 18 and their families for the Midlands area (Longford, Westmeath, Offaly & Laois).  This service is being funded by HSE CADS (Comm. Alcohol & Drug Service) & Midland Regional Drug & Alcohol Task Force (MRDATF).    
   
   
Drug & Alcohol Project Workers x1 (Portlaoise)  
Persons appointed to this position will be responsible for delivering treatment support, family support, harm reduction, rehabilitation and after care services for individuals over 18 and their families.    
  
Qualifications & Experience  
Applicants must meet the following requirements:  
Have a minimum 2 years' relevant experience in addiction, community development, health and social care, education or related fields including experience of crisis support, key working, case management and group facilitation.  
have a relevant qualification (minimum FETAC Level 7 or equivalent) e.g. social care, addiction, nursing, community or youth work together with qualification/training in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relapse Prevention  
   
This is a full time four year fixed term contract, working 39 hours per week Monday to Friday (may require evenings and weekend). 23 days' annual leave per year, access to a Scholarship Fund.  
Access to own transport with a full clean driver's licence is required for this role.
