Activity Co-ordinator (Part-time) - Nursing Home - Co. Dublin
Our client an Irish company that owns and manages several nursing homes across Ireland, providing quality care for almost three hundred residents are actively looking to recruit a part-time Activities Co-ordinator for a Nursing Home based in North Dublin.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the organisation of a wide range of social activities which would include: Music, Irish Dancing, Social Evening and Events, Card Games, Arts & Crafts, Movie Afternoons and Gardening.
The Activities Co-ordinator would be also be responsible for activities such as: Birthday Parties for Residents, Celebrations of Holidays, Musical Events, Games, Trip and Tours, Nursing Home Newsletter, Residents Committee, Exercise and Fitness, Arts & Crafts.
This successful candidate will be required to work 20 hours per week.
Note : The nursing home can offer the Activity coordinator the opportunity to work as a HCA outside the 20 hour contract and will be paid the same rate of pay if the candidate wishes to make up full time hours.
FETAC Level 6 Certificate in disciplines such as Activities Co-ordinator, Community Care, Leisure Studies
Leisure and Therapeutic Therapy Diploma/Degree would be desirable but not essential
Ability to create activities for residents on a group and one on one level
Ability to work and create a positive atmosphere for residents
Demonstrate ability to deliver activity programmes to a range of people
Ability to work well in a team and liaise with other staff, volunteers, staff, residents and family members
The ideal candidate should have experience working in a Care Home facility or worked with elderly people
