Clinical Nurse Manager 2  - Psychiatric/Mental Health Facility  
               
Registered psychiatric Nurse required for CNM2  position in  a new specialist psychiatric rehabilitation Unit of a large acute facility in Dublin.           
         
Our Client is providing a 12 bed SRU for HSE service-users with enduring mental health difficulties, predominantly those with a diagnosis of psychosis and associated challenging behaviours. The goal of the project is to support residents over 18 to 24-month period through a progressive rehabilitation and recovery focused programme, so that they are provided with the opportunity to successfully transition from the SRU to supported residential settings in their own communities.      
While our client is a private employer, the HSE have contracted with our client to commission and manage a new Specialist Rehabilitation.  As this is a new facility they are looking for a  Registered psychiatric Nurse's to join them as a CNM2 .
The post holder reports to the CNM III who will lead and manage the SRU, and is accountable to the Assistant Director of Nursing, Mental Health Services.
The CNM II on the SRU will work 7 twelve hour day shifts per fortnight. While it will not normally be a requirement to work night, the CNMII may be required in exceptional circumstances.

Purpose of Role  
 
Clinical Nurse Manager 2 has a pivotal role in the delivery of effective, recovery-orientated, integrated care for individuals presenting to the mental health services. While a significant component of the role involves service planning, co-ordinating, and managing service delivery and resources within the clinical area, the main responsibilities are: quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, clinical practice development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership.
 
Duties of a CNM  
  As directed by CNM III, the standard duties and responsibilities will include:
 
Providing and supervising the delivery of the highest standard of patient centred, recovery focused nursing care in accordance with up to date evidence based professional practice and SRU policies.  
 
Adhere to national, regional and local Highfield Healthcare guidelines, policies, protocols and legislation.
 
Work within their scope of practice and take measures to develop and maintain their competence and the competencies of their staff within their authority, necessary for professional practice.
 
Manage and monitor patient care to ensure the highest professional standards using an evidence-based, care planning approach.
 
Provide a high level of professional and clinical leadership.
 
Collaborate with service users, family, carers and other staff in treatment / care planning and in the provision of support and advice.
 
Communicate verbally and / or in writing results of assessments, treatment / care programmes and recommendations to the team and relevant others in accordance with service policy
Engage in continuing professional development by keeping up to date with nursing literature, recent nursing research and new developments in nursing management, education and practice and to attend staff study days as considered appropriate.
 
Eligibility Criteria  
   
Be registered on the Psychiatric Division of the Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing Midwifery Board Ireland  
 
Have at least 5 years post registration psychiatric nursing experience demonstrate experience of or an understanding and commitment to the personal recovery model  
 
Knowledge of Mental Health Commission legislative and regulatory requirements to support service delivery
