Mental Health Nurse - Specialist Rehabilitation Unit
Registered Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse required for a new specialist rehabilitation Unit of a large acute facility in Dublin.
Our Client is providing a 12 bed SRU for HSE service-users with enduring mental health difficulties, predominantly those with a diagnosis of psychosis and associated challenging behaviours. The goal of the project is to support residents over 18 to 24-month period through a progressive rehabilitation and recovery focused programme, so that they are provided with the opportunity to successfully transition from the SRU to supported residential settings in their own communities.
While our client is a private employer, the HSE have contracted with our client to commission and manage a new Specialist Rehabilitation. As this is a new facility they are looking for a number of Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse's to join them.
Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing Duties
Providing an individualised programme of mental health treatments, therapies and support
Promoting recovery, support and reintegration back into normal life as soon as possible
Promoting well-being and personal development through psychosocial interventions focusing on self-esteem, problem solving, mental health education, self-awareness/management, coping skills, activity scheduling, socialisation, educational/ occupational support and placements
