Job Description

Senior Clinical Psychologist required by TTM Healthcare on behalf of one of our clients in County Meath.
The role:
This is a full time, permanent job in a well established service leader in the provision of of specialist disability and acquired brain injury services.  To support and enhance the provision of specialist psychological interventions for residents with behaviours of concern or behaviours that challenge.
Location:
County Meath - although travel to community houses in North County Dublin, Meath and Louth is required.

Requirements Essential Desirable
Qualifications & Training Doctoral Clinical Psychology qualification or equivalent recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland/Department of Health or Health Care Professions Council
Clinical supervision training
 
Management training/qualification
Knowledge & Experience Experience of working with behaviours that challenge
 
Experience of working with an inter-disciplinary team
 
Experience of managing own workload and responding to multiple demands for psychology services
 
Teaching/training with psychology staff and other professions
 
Knowledge of risk assessment
 
Working knowledge of capacity assessments and legislation
 
Understanding of clinical governance and professional ethics
Experience working with individuals in residential services
 
Supervision provision to assistant psychologists &/or trainee psychologists &/or staff grade
 
Experience developing positive behavioural support plans
 
Experience working as part of a busy clinical team
 
Working knowledge of HIQA standards
Skills & Abilities Highly developed assessment and formulation skills to understand and conceptualise complex presentations
 
Able to communicate formulations to a range of audiences
 
Advanced use of judgement and analytical skills in developing suitable interventions in line with best practice
 
Ability to plan and deliver care in an effective and resourceful manner within a model of person-centred care
 
Ability to effectively and efficiently evaluate information and make appropriate decisions
 
 
Evidence of effective planning and organising skills including awareness of resource management and importance of value for money
