Community Nurse - Complex Community Care






Job Description

TTM Healthcare are looking to recruit Community Nurses located in Leixlip, Co.  Kildare, caring for a young child aged 2 with complex medical needs who requires 24/7 nursing care in the home setting.      
The Nurse is required to work from 10pm to 6am Sunday to Friday inclusive and will be required to commence work on 12th of November 2018. We are also requesting a Home Care Assistant (HCA)for 1hour in the am at 7am and 1 hour in the pm 7pm each day for 7 days to assist the mother in maintaining complete sterile techniques and opening of sterile packages for parentral nutrition.
We are looking for a qualified Paediatric Nurse who is currently registered with NMBI or an RGN with previous experience working with children.
The Nurse must have experience relevant to this child's specific needs of care of a peg tube, administration of medications via the peg tube.
Observation and care of this childs central line as parental nutrition is administered via a central line.
As a stomach washout may be required the nurse must be competent in doing same.
The nurse will need to be very observant of any signs of sepsis and will need to be vigilant with skin hygiene in order to reduce the risk of infection and to maintain skin integrity.

Basic Requirements:        
  • Valid NMBI registration
