The group is currently recruiting  an experienced and innovative Head of People/Chief People Officer to become an integral part of their executive team in consolidating their growing success and continuing to increase their presence on the national and international stage. This is a senior leadership post reporting directly to the group C.E.O.
 
Role objective
The role requires a high degree of  proactivity working with the business leaders as they deliver the business strategic objectives. This includes the 'roll out' of our transformation programme incorporating the vision, values and behaviours that will take us on the next phase of our journey as one of the most successful Irish indigenous companies. As Chief people officer you would be a key driver in the implementation of the transformation programme and the alignment of key HR processes and deliverables as well as influencing the types of behaviours and attitudes required for change. The ideal candidate will have proven capability in forming the design, development and delivery of a medium and long term HR strategy for the group.
 
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the assessment, identification and development of key talent for the business and provide on-going expertise in the areas of Employment engagement and retention
  • Lead a team, providing direction, focus and motivation on the business needs within their objectives.
  • Modernise the group Talent acquisition strategy and seek to continually develop a workforce that is committed to excellence, characterised by high performance, innovation, effectiveness, and adapts continuously in a constantly-changing market environment.
  • Provide support to managers, Team leaders and managing directors on HR processes and deliverables, i.e. coaching on performance management
  • Develop a Group based learning and development function to develop people across the group, both permanent and temporary staff.
 
The ideal candidate will possess the following skillset
  • Proven leadership and team working skills with ability to motivate within a fast paced high performing culture.
  • Proven ability to influence, lead and deliver change in a large organisation.
  • A strong track record in delivering projects with clear action plans with measurable results within a commercial environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse group of people including our internal staff at all levels and our team of people in the communities and hospitals.
  • Level 8 degree in Human Resources.
  • CIPD membership or equivalent
  • Commercial thinker, the candidate should have a clear understanding of the profitability goals of the group and ability to work to targets.
