Person in Charge required for an Intellectual disability service
Our client is a voluntary organisation providing comprehensive services for people with intellectual disabilities.
The organisation currently provides early intervention, pre-school, school, adult day services, residential, respite care, elder care and home support in the North Cork and South West Limerick region.
PERSON IN CHARGE/PIC (RESIDENTIAL)
Reporting to The Area Manager the ideal candidates will have:
A HETAC Accredited Degree in Applied Social Studies/Social Care or a qualification in Nursing (RNID) or Social Work (Degree) and an appropriate management qualification.
Not less than five years’ experience working with children/adults with intellectual disabilities in a residential.
Three years’ management or supervisory experience including staff management, supervision & appraisal
Extensive experience of working with children/adults with intellectual disabilities who may present with behaviours that challenge and supporting care staff in similar environments.
Experience of managing residential budgets

HSE Salary Scales apply.
A full Irish/EU Driving Licence is a requirement for all posts.
48 hours maximum per week inclusive of sleepover hours.
