Job Description

Our Client is a Cork based organisation providing Residential, respite and Day service care to people with intellectual disabilities.
They are currently seeking to employ a Person in Charge with a Social Care Degree and at least 5 years experience as a leader/manager in a Social Care setting.
  • The primary role of the Manager/Person in Charge is to ensure the delivery of the highest standards of professional care to every Service User of the organisation at all times and in accordance with the ethos of the organisation.
  • The Manager/Person in Charge will be responsible for the management and co-ordination of all activities for  Residential & Respite Services.
  • The Manager/Person in Charge is a lead management role with primary responsibility for *all aspects of managing a dedicated team of Team Leaders & staff engaged in the provision of care and support to Residential & Respite Service Users.
    • Manage & Develop a team of highly trained and suitably qualified professionals ensuring that your dedicated team are delivering the best and most appropriate level of care to Residential & Respite Service Users at all times.
    • Delegate responsibility amongst your Team Leaders appropriately to ensure that all necessary controls, processes and support systems are in place, adhered to and being applied, at all times.
    • Focus on professional development and succession by ensuring that there is a relevant Learning & Development Plan for all your Team Leaders in consultation with HR Manager, reviewed at least annually.
