Location: Faughart, Co. Louth
Salary: €27,612.07- €30,090.97

TTM Healthcare are delighted to be partnered with an Intellectual Disability Service located in Faughart, Co. Louth. This Organisation is a charity and social enterprise, and their vision is wellbeing for all. They work together with people living with mental ill health, intellectual disability, autism and addictions to ensure they live with dignity and realise their full potential. They currently have vacancies for full-time Support Workers for their residential services on a permanent basis.

The main role of the Support Worker is to provide the highest possible standard of care and support to the people who use the service through actively promoting and implementing a values, rights and outcomes based person centred approach. This includes implementing person centred care plans alongside the commissioner's care, support and behavioural intervention plans.

Requirements:
Candidates must have the following:

  • Level 5 Fetac award in Healthcare Support/ Social Care
  • A minimum of 1 years' experience of working in a health and social care setting
  • Knowledge and understanding of intellectual disability & autism
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing Person centred Care/ Support Plans
  • Have proven experience of supporting individuals with support needs within challenging environments
  • Demonstrate experience of using behaviour management strategies
  • Full clean driving licence and access to a car is essential. Business insurance will be a requirement for this post. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a driver's licence.
