Staff Nurse - Permanent - Day Clinic - Dublin 9
Hours : 8am - 6pm / 10am - 8pm (Monday - Sunday)

Our Client one of Ireland's leading independent provider of diagnostic imaging services including MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, CT and DEXA scans are actively looking to recruit an experience Acute Staff Nurse on permanent full time basis working in one of their Day Clinics in Dublin 9.
Overview :
We have 300 staff within our Irish clinics, where the business operates diagnostic imaging and minor injuries clinics around the country, offering a broad range of cutting-edge imaging technology and healthcare services to the public, insurers, employers and other organisations.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient focused care with a real commitment to a high standard of patient safety and welfare.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• To deliver excellent care for patients receiving surgical procedures as day cases
• To ensure compliance with governance standards for anaesthesia and day care as described by Joint Commission International.
• Organisation of consultant procedure sessions
• Engage in on-going clinical supervision and case discussion.
• Attend and contribute to weekly and monthly clinical governance review.
• Take responsibility on each shift for the nursing care of patients
• Maintaining appropriate and accurate written nursing records and reports.
• Discharge Planning
• To ensure adequate levels of ward stocks/supplies are maintained.
• To ensure that the working environment is as safe and healthy as possible for patients/ staff.
• To work within the team and assist colleagues as necessary
• Ensure all Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections, Hygiene Standards are implemented
• Always adhere to the dress code policy
• Attend onsite or offsite continuous professional development session
Qualifications:
• Possess a recognised general nursing qualification.
• A degree level education is essential.
• Registered in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI
Experience/Competencies
• Have at least 2 years post-registration general nursing experience most of which has been in an acute general hospital.
• Clinical experience in Day Care Surgery / Theatre / Emergency Department desirable
• Experience in Cannulation with Certificate
• Ability to relate effective and build productive relationships at all levels.
• Ability to handle a diverse and challenging workload.
• Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
• Must possess strong, communication skills and clinical skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Must be computer literate
• Flexibility and excellent use of initiative
Skills:
Experience working in clinical nursing practice · Fluency in English, both written and spoken Clinical experience in Emergency Medicine
