The Position :

Registered Nurses required on a Full Time Permanent basis for a NEW State of the Art Elderly Care Facility OPENING October 2020 - Dublin

The Opportunity :

Staff Nurses required for a new 200+ bedded, state of the art facility which is opening in October 2020 in North Dublin. The client offers long term residential care, Dementia / Alzheimer Care, Convalescent Care, Respite Care and Palliative Care.
The position will be based in the residential unit and is a full time permanent contract.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Evaluate resident care needs and in-conjunction with our multi-disciplinary team implement and evaluate individualised care plans that meet the resident’s needs
Build strong relationships with residents to encourage trust, and understand their needs
Ensure appropriate support and comfort is given at all times
Ensure that all residents are treated with dignity, privacy and respect
Ensure that all relevant documentation is maintained.
Maintain professional standards in keeping
Ensure all admissions to the home are carried out correctly and all appropriate documentation completed.
Liaise with health care professionals as necessary regarding the discharge of a resident to the community to ensure continuity of care.
Ensure all Nursing Healthcare policies are known and adhered to
Maintain clear, concise and accurate records at all levels within the home.
Ensures the agreed policies and procedures for the control, administration and custody of all drugs and medicines are adhered to.
Participates in HIQA visits

Requirements:

The successful nurse must meet the following criteria:
Must be registered with the NMBI
Must have previous experience in caring for older persons
Postgraduate in Gerontology desirable

Benefits:

Salary for Staff Nurse: Starting at €18.66 p/hr up to €21.50 p/hr
Salary for new grads: Starting at €15.09 for first 6 months, once past probation will increase to €18.66
Roster: Days / Nights / Weekends as per normal. Will look at candidates only interested in night duty
Hours: 84 hours over 2 weeks. Working 4 days one week and 3 days the following week
Paid fortnightly
No paid breaks unless on night duty – ½ hour paid break.

CPD encourage and will pay/support candidate for any post graduate/masters qualification if in line with job role. After 1 year of work.
