Quality Officer (Senior Medical Scientist Grade), required by TTM Healthcare, on behalf of a prestigious, private hospital, based in South Dublin.

As Quality Officer, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of a compliant efficient and functional Quality Management System for all Laboratory departments in line with INAB regulations, ISO 15189 standards, AML-BB and EU Directives, comprising of the following areas: Blood Transfusion, Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Histology, and Hemovigilance.

Duties include, but are not limited to: staying up to date with knowledge and understanding of all new quality developments in the Laboratory and associated areas, ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) is developed, established, implemented and maintained on behalf of Laboratory Management, ensuring that internal Quality Control is routinely performed in conjunction with the heads of the departments, within the Laboratory and to establish structured systems for the use of audit as a tool to monitor performance and compliance within the Laboratory.

Key Requirements:
• BSc and MSc in Biomedical Science - only ACSLM/CORU approved degrees can be considered
• FACSLM membership or be eligible for membership
• Experience of working in the area of Quality
• Relevant post-qualification experience working as a Medical Scientist (minimum 3-4 years)
• Experience of INAB Accreditation
• Experience in training /presenting and demonstrate capacity to manage staff
• Be familiar with laboratory information systems
• To be familiar with the quality standards required by GLP, GMP, JCI, ISO 15189, EU Directive 2002/98/EC, EU Directive 2004/23/EC and the requirements of the HPRA and any other relevant legislation
