Principal Activity Therapist, Social Care Key Worker, Tipperary
Contract: Full time permanent (40 hrs per week)
Salary: €17.50 p/h, moving to €18.50 p/h after probation period.
Location: South Tipperary
TTM healthcare are recruiting on behalf of our Client, an organisation working with children in care based in South Tipperary. This service has 3 registered Children's Residential centres. Each house is staffed by 2 pedagogical couples who share the responsibility of drawing from social pedagogical theory and practice to create a family analogue setting which becomes the secure base in which children reside. The aim of their houses is to provide a family style environment in which the young people can safely live whilst they are involved with the programmes on offer at the service.
This organisation also aim to provide an evidence base for the applicability and utility of social pedagogy in the Irish context. The role of the Social Care key Worker is to advocate and represent the voice of the young person to all involved in their care and to liaise with the young person, their families and their Social Worker to ensure they are all aware of their rights and have appropriate information to be able to exercise those rights. This role typically involves 4 day shifts per week plus 1 day every second weekend.

The Requirements:
- A minimum of Level 7 degree in Social Care or related field.
- A Full Clean Driver's License
- A minimum of 6 months relative experience in Children's Residential Care
- Knowledge of child protection and legislation
