TTM Healthcare are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our Client, an Intellectual Disability Service who provide services through-out the country. This particular service is located in Ennis, Co. Clare and has evolved over the years from centre based, grouped and congregated services, to more individualised, community based supports. My Client is currently looking to recruit a Person In Charge (PIC) on a full-time permanent basis and one for a Specified Purpose 9 month contract.

This role essentially is to provide leadership and support to the individuals, the service, their families, employees and all stake-holders, in line with the organisations values and principles. To manage and lead person centred services in a range of settings appropriate to individual needs. To learn from, listen to, support and work to achieve the priorities of the individuals they support. To ensure accountability and best value in service planning and delivery.

Requirements:
Candidates must have the following:

  • Degree in Social Care
  • Applications will be considered from candidates holding a minimum four year degree qualification e.g. Nursing (RNID), Teaching, Youth and Community Studies, Psychology, Social Work.
  • A minimum of 3 year's experience in community development, social care or other related field, which must include supervisory experience.
  • Applicants must have leadership skills and experience of Supervising a Team.
  • Applicants must possess the competencies and skills appropriate to working with persons with an intellectual disability.
  • Flexibility in regard to hours of duty (which will be determined by the needs of the Service) and available and willing to work day, afternoon, evenings and weekends,
  • The appointee must provide his/her own car and must furnish an indemnity from insurers in favour of the Employer. Travelling expenses at the appropriate rate will be paid in respect of travel necessarily performed in the discharge of duty.
  • Full clean driving licence is essential for all positions with this organisation (provisional licences are NOT acceptable).
