My client is family run Healthcare Group with over 30 years' experience in the area of Elderly Care and is expanding their services Elderly Care Centres located in South Dublin. My client is looking for an experienced Director of Nursing to join the team.

The Director of Nursing:
Reporting directly to the Registered Provider and Medical Director, the Director of Nursing will be responsible for setting direction for services within the organisation. S/he will lead a team of Nurse Managers, Nurses and Care Staff and will be a key lead in the direction for the facilities expansion in 2020!

The successful candidate will be a qualified and experienced Director of Nursing and will possess both extensive senior management experience and the ability to deliver nursing services in an Elderly Care Facility.
A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Care of the Elderly in addition Healthcare management qualification is essential.

Applicant Attributes:

  • Must be registered with NMBI
  • Must have 6 years relevant post registration nursing experience.
  • Must have a post-registration qualification in Gerontology or Dementia Care
  • Minimum three years' experience in managerial capacity in Care of the Older Person
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and regulatory inspection activity as they pertain to residential care centres.
  • Have the ability to manage one's own workload effectively while responding flexibly to new demands at short notice.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Leadership skills and experience
