THE BACKGROUND:

At TTM Healthcare we are proud to have partnered with one of our clients who are recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM1) for their 41 Bedded Care Homes located in Co. Limerick. If you think the position is right for you, let’s talk.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Director of Nursing the successful candidates will essentially be responsible for the provision of long stay care for clients.
The overall responsibility within this role will be to ensure that all work is client focused and upholds the principles of choice, respect, dignity, privacy, independence and fulfilment.
This Nursing and Convalescent Home provides nursing and residential care for older people. The 41 bedded home offers post-operative care as well as respite care to give home carers a much needed break. Their residents have varying needs from specialist support and help with everyday living to those who just need a helping hand to retain some independence. Some stay on a permanent basis whilst others stay for short periods of time.        

Your Clinical Responsibilities:

           
The appointee will undertake the role and responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse Manager. Accountable to the Director of Nursing, the successful applicant will be required to provide and manage a professional care and nursing service while actively contributing to the development of the Nursing Home, its residents and staff.              
         
The successful applicant:-
 
Must be a registered nurse (on, or eligible to be on, the live register of nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, NMBI.        
    
THE REQUIREMENTS:

Must have at least 3 - 5  years relevant post registration nursing experience.            
Must possess management/supervisory experience, including team leadership with resource planning and allocation.            
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, relatives/visitors, employees, management and external bodies e.g. GPs, hospitals, HSE, HIQA, etc.            
Post-registration qualification in Gerontology or Dementia Care and / or a Post-registration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent will be an advantage. In the absence of such a qualification, the appointee will be required to undertake such training.               
             

Your Educational Responsibilities:

Must be on the live register with NMBI.
Your Communication Responsibilities.
Must possess excellent communication and team lead skills and work well in a team environment.
Must have excellent knowledge and understanding of HIQA and standards pertained to Care of the Older Person.
