Here at TTM Healthcare we are delighted to have partnered with one of the largest independent Healthcare providers of quality nursing home care in ireland who are recruiting a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM1) for a Community Nursing Unit based in South Dublin. This transitional Care Unit is available to elderly patients to recover following treatment in an acute hospital and to spend a further period recovering, particularily following surgery, major illnesses and accidents. When this recovery period requires ongoing medical monitoring, rehabilitation or re-enablement, this Community Hospital is there to help patients with their desire to make a speedy recovery and return home.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the successful candidate will essentially be responsible for the provision of short stay rehab care for elderly patients to recover following treatment in an acute hospital. The overall responsibility wihtin this role will be to ensure that all work is client focused and upholds the principles of choice, respect, dignity, privacy, independence and fulfilment.
The CNM is required to provide and manage a professional care and nursing service while actively contributing to the development of the Nursing Home, its residents and staff.

The Requirements:
To be eligible for the role you must:

Be registered with the NMBI
Have at least 3-5 years relevant post registration nursing experience
Possess management/supervisory experience, including team leadership with resource planning and allocation
Have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, relatives/visitors, employees, management and external bodies.
Have post- registration qualification in Gerontology or Dementia Care and/or a Post- registration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent will be an advantage. In the absence of such a qualification, the appointee will be required to undertake such training.
Have excellent knowledge and understanding of HIQA and standards pertained to Care of the Older Person
