Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM1) - West Cork
Location : West Cork
Reports To: Director of Nursing
Hours per week: 39
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Overview :-
The role involves working in one of the Units (26 Bedded) of the Nursing Homes, 79 Bedded Care Facility. The role will involve working 39 hours per week of which 3 hours will be allocated to paperwork, management of care plans etc.
Duties :-
Supervise staff and report any problems.
Maintain your CPD with particularly taking interest in: 1. Care of the Elderly, 2. Management and Leadership, 3. Dementia training.
Provide professional leadership to all nursing and care staff. Encourage all staff to maintain up-to-date professional knowledge.
Ensure staff is aware of, and comply with, all necessary company policies, charters, standards, guidelines, care requirements and legislation.
Participate in continuous process improvements and make recommendations for change with regards to clinical and non-clinical policy.
Communicate fully with staff, managers, external care professionals and colleagues to provide a high standard of emotional and clinical
care.
Contribute to the development of new ideas in nursing and social care in respect of stimulation for residents to improve their quality of
life.
Through the joint work of the director of nursing and the administration staff ensure effective use of resources whilst working within
agreed budget.
Monitor staffing and record attendance, absence and relief cover. Assist with the investigation of any complaints and deal with any
grievances and any disciplinary issues as necessary.
Participate in quality improvements in the nursing home.
To be part of the risk management team.
Is responsible for ensuring that care plans and assessments are up to date and maintained in compliance with HIQA standards
Is proficient in conducting audits.
Conducts nursing rounds throughout your shift, including the beginning and end of shift
The Clinical Nurse Manager may confer with residents' physicians to clarify medical orders and direct care.
