THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The CNM2 is responsible and accountable for the provision of clinical and professional leadership, nursing management and continuous professional development in area of responsibility The overall responsibility within this role will be to ensure that all work is client focused and upholds the principles of choice, respect, dignity, privacy, independence and fulfilment.

RESPONSIBILITY OF CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER 2:

• Be proactive in promoting & ensuring that the Ethos, Mission, Vision and core values of the Daughters of Charity are upheld.
• Ensure that personnel within their designated area of responsibility work in accordance with the policy and ethos of the Daughters of Charity
• Ensure that all nursing staff adhere to professional code of conduct and operate within the scope of practice
• Ensure that any concerns for the safety and welfare of clients are reported in a timely manner
• Ensure a holistic Model of Care for Service Users which is consistent with a Person Centred approach
• Be familiar with all Policies and Procedures, particularly those pertaining to client safety and welfare

Your Educational Responsibilities:

• Obtain an to date NMBI Registration (RNID Essential)l
• Hold a completed Management Course

THE REQUIREMENTS:

To be eligible for the role, you will need to:

• Have previous experience within the area of Intellectual Disability
• Have completed a recognised Management Programme
• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to work on own initiative
• Proven managerial, organisational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with families and the wider MDT
• Have a detailed knowledge of the HIQA standards / regulations and Health Act 2007, and have the ability to maintain the high level set post initial registration visit by HIQA.
