Clinical nurse Manager – Team Leader

This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week. This post will provide an opportunity for an experienced CNM to coordinate IV nursing services direct to patients. The role is office based overseeing the operational aspects of daily clinical delivery on a national basis.


Requirements:
  • Qualified RGN with min 10 years PQE
  • Leadership and management experience with exposure to complex healthcare environments
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Possess a strong work ethic while demonstrating the ability to work under own initiative
  • Ability to educate, communicate and present while building a rapport with key stakeholders
  • Must be highly IT literate
  • High level of attention to detail, having a systematic and structured approach to tasks and processes as well as having excellent management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to liaise with persons of all levels of nursing to coordinate patient services.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Displays a good deal of flexibility and is adaptable to change.
  • Ability to problem solve and devise solutions to ensure all patients have access to the national service.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Team lead nursing staff members participating on the service.
  • Closely co-ordinate, streamline and manage the service to maximise the efficiency of the nursing resource while maintaining at all times the highest clinical standards
  • Act as an expert practitioner within the referral department demonstrating advanced clinical competence.
  • Lead referral acceptance and assessment of patient care needs as well as develop and evaluate care programmes.
  • Anticipate and identify improvements needed and address deficiencies in the quality of service provided. This will include rota efficiency, service development needs, development and implementation of policies, audit processes and patient safety initiatives.
  • Cooperate fully, professionally and openly with the field based Nurse Managers
  • To support the integration of services across OPAT-CIT Services.
