TTM Healthcare Solutions are proud to partner with a leading teaching hospital in Dublin 4 to hire a Grade VI Quality & Patient Safety Coordinator.
3 month initial contract with strong possibility of extension for the right candidate
35 hour week - Monday-Friday
Pay scales in line with HSE Point of Scale: €28.21 - €34.47 depending on public service experience
Requirements
To be eligible for this role you must have:
• Experience administering FOI (freedom of information) requests and working knowledge of Freedom of Information, Data Protection and GDPR legislation a distinct advantage
• Two years administrative experience working in a healthcare / public sector setting
  • Recent, relevant high level of experience using MS packages (Word, Outlook & Excel essential).
  • Experience in the development or management of information systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills & detail orientated
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good planning skills and ability to work to specified timescales
Duties (including but not limited to)
• To assist in dealing, promptly and correctly with requests under the Freedom of Information Act and other relevant information queries
• Co-ordinate Freedom of Information activities with clinical staff to ensure appropriate information is collected for consideration for release to requestors within required deadlines
• Liaise with the Head of Clinical Support to ensure the corporate healthcare records management strategy supports Freedom of Information requirements
• Prepare regular detailed Freedom of Information reports about FOI requests, deadline breaches, risks, themes and trends for review by the Patient Safety & Clinical Risk Advisor and the Director of Quality, Risk and Patient Safety
• Prepare quarterly report for the Office of Information Commissioner. Act as the lead contact point with the Office of the Information Commissioner on all matters related to FOI requests and appeals
• Review relevant hospital policy and procedures and update and submit for re-approval as necessary in line with hospital policy and any changes in legislation
• Liaise with the Executive Management Team to design and maintain a suite of suitable web pages through which documents will be made available under the Model Publication Scheme and identify other media through which information will be released such as hard copy
• To work alongside Patient Safety, Clinical Risk and Health and Safety Coordinator in the management of employee and public liability claims. To pro-actively manage claims and ensure that they are managed in a timely, effective manner
• To notify and liaise with the Hospital Insurers regarding employee and public liability claims.
• Ensure that all public and employee liability civil litigation claims documentation is collated and forwarded to appropriate internal and external groups.
