Band 2 Healthcare Assistants

At TTM Healthcare we are proud to have partnered with a number of leading NHS Trusts. They have an available opportunity for Band 2 Healthcare Assistants with good experience, skills and knowledge to support Nurses and Doctors in their roles. During this extremely busy and uncertain time I am seeking Band 2 healthcare staff who have experience of working in hospitals or Care Homes to assist in Peterborough and Hinchinbrook Hospitals. We are paying an increased hourly rate for those who can work long days or nights, ongoing for the next 3 months. If you think the position is right for you, let's talk.

·Assisting with helping patients to wash, shower or dress
·Serving food or helping people eat
·Making and changing beds
·Turning patients who are bed-bound to avoid pressure sores
·Talking and conversing with patients to help them feel less anxious
·Supporting patients to move around if they find it difficult
·Giving out and collecting bedpans, and helping patients to the bathroom
· Ensuring the ward is tidy
·keeping supplies and equipment in order
·taking and recording patient observations such as temperature, pulse and breathing.
·Under the supervision of a qualified practitioner, participate in planned treatment activities taking account of the fluctuating needs of the patient.
·Reporting variances in a patient's condition immediately to a relevant professional.
·Ensuring Patient's physical environment is maintained e.g. Warmth, cleanliness.
·Undertake nursing tasks under the direction of a qualified practitioner i.e. prompting medication, catheter care, temperature taking, basic wound care, blood sugar monitoring, stoma care.

Ideally NVQ 3 in Social Care

To be eligible for this role, you will need to:

·Have experience in working as a Healthcare Assistant ideally 1 or more years'
·This is not a homecare role - Care home or hospital experience is essential to apply
·Applicants must hold a copy of their immunisations to apply
·Ability to cover shift patterns of either earlies or lates
·Applicants Ideally have worked within hospital / Homecare environment
· Applicants must be UK based to apply for this role
·Have good communication skills and work well in a team
