A position has become available for an Assistant Person in Charge to assist a PIC in the running of a new nursing home based in Co. Carlow.
This 60 bedded facility provides Continuing Care, Palliative Care, Respite and Convelescence Care.
The Role:
•To be part of the nursing team and work to ensure that all aspects of the residents allocated care plans are adhered to, developed and reviewed
•Support and assist the PIC in overseeing the organisation, management and operations of all aspects of the Nursing Home in coordination with the registered provider.
•Provide leadership and clinical supervision to staff thus improving standards and maintaining a high morale among the team.
•In the absence of the Person in Charge; undertake the role and responsibilities of the PIC in line with the Health Act 2007, related regulations and HIQA National Quality Standards.
•Establish and maintain a caring environment which is person centred and is conducive to the physical, emotional, social and spiritual individual needs of the residents.
•Promote, encourage and practice the ethos of person-centred care.
•Contribute to the safeguarding of residents use the appropriate reporting mechanisms to inform the relevant parties of any concerns.
•To ensure that all work is client focused and upholds the principles of choice, respect, dignity, privacy, independence and fulfillment
Requirements:
•BSc in Nursing
•Post grad diploma in management
•2 years' experience working in an elderly care facility or similar
•Excellent Leadership skills
•Eligibility to live and work in Ireland
