The Position :

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - State of the Art Elderly Care Facility - North Dublin (20 minutes from the M1 Motorway)

The Opportunity :

Assistant Director of Nursing required for a 120+ bedded, state of the art facility in North Dublin. The client offers long term residential care, Dementia / Alzheimer Care, Convalescent Care, Respite Care and Palliative Care.

At TTM Healthcare we are proud to have partnered with one of our clients, a state of the art residential care home 20 minutes from the M1 Motorway in North County Dublin, this care facility is situated in a quaint seaside village with a sheltered cove-like beach and an active fishing harbour.

Your Clinical Responsibilities:

The appointee will undertake the role and responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing and be accountable to the Director of Nursing. The successful applicant will be required to provide and manage a professional care and nursing service while actively contributing to the development of the Nursing Home, its residents and staff.



THE REQUIREMENTS:

Must have 3- 5 years relevant post registration nursing experience.
Must possess management/supervisory experience, including team leadership with resource planning and allocation.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, relatives/visitors, employees, management and external bodies e.g. GPs, hospitals, HSE, HIQA, etc.
Post-registration qualification in Gerontology or Dementia Care and / or a Post-registration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent will be an advantage. In the absence of such a qualification, the appointee will be required to undertake such training.
