The South Presentation Centre, trading as Nano Nagle Place, is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead and manage the growth and awareness of their exciting, new development in Cork City Centre.

Nano Nagle is an icon of Cork, woven into the very fabric of the city. Her pioneering work and efforts in providing education and help to the marginalised, disadvantaged and poor in the difficult times of penal law are the bedrock on which the Presentation Sisters organisation has flourished ever since.


To preserve this heritage, the Presentation Sisters decided to develop the birthplace of their order at the heart of Cork City into Nano Nagle Place. The key components of this new and exciting project, phase two of which is currently under construction, include: 
•    Heritage Centre
•    Academic Archive
•    Accommodation and retreat facilities
•    Respite/Drop in facilities for the local and wider community

The position of CEO

The organisation is seeking a CEO with the leadership and skillset to bring vision and growth to this exciting venture while maintaining the balance with the strong traditional and historical significance and ethos of the organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody with strong operational and organisational skills to move this project forward and make their mark as an integral part of something remarkable and lasting in the city.

Reporting to the Voluntary Board, the role will provide the opportunity and latitude to bring vision and innovation to every aspect of the development. The CEO will work to pre agreed key performance indicators which will clearly set out the expected growth potential of each component of the centre.

Communication skills will be essential in developing strong relationships with government bodies (such as the Heritage Council and Failte Ireland) as well as local agencies involved in helping marginalised and underprivileged people. 

Retaining the essential aura and atmosphere of the organisation while evolving awareness and commercial aspect of the site is vital to all stakeholders. With phase two moving forward and phase one ready to begin its journey, this project has a fantastic future and presents a wonderful opening for a successful CEO to work and innovate in creating a lasting milestone in the history and culture of Cork city.
