When Vicky decided to become a nurse, she was inspired by the care and compassion she witnessed while her grandfather was living with Alzheimer's.

Watching nurses support both him and her family left a lasting impression. It was then that she knew she wanted a career that allowed her to help people through some of life's most challenging moments.

Over the years, Vicky built a rewarding career in nursing, eventually working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. But after becoming pregnant and facing a high-risk pregnancy, her priorities shifted. Following the birth of her son, returning to work wasn't as straightforward as she had hoped.

Despite seeking reduced hours and more flexibility, she struggled to find a pathway back into nursing that worked for her circumstances.

"I could not see a way back into it."

As time passed, Vicky knew she wanted to reconnect with the career she had dedicated so much of herself to. What she needed was a way to ease back in at a pace that felt manageable.

Through TTM, she was able to do exactly that.

Starting with just one day a week, Vicky gradually rebuilt her confidence and returned to the profession she loves. The flexible approach allowed her to balance family life while rediscovering her passion for nursing.

Today, Vicki works in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and has increased her hours over time. Looking back, she believes the ability to return at her own pace made all the difference.

"Coming to work is so different now that I'm coming to work on my own terms."

Looking back, Vicky sees her journey as proof that careers don't always follow a straight line. Sometimes, finding the right balance and the right support can make all the difference.

"That nurse that was full of vitality, full of life, full of hope, I feel like I have her back."
